Carried
We're home for Christmas. This time last year we arrived to Melbourne, me with a big belly, expectant and impatient, generally pregnant-grumpy but still glad to be around friends and family. We had no idea what lay ahead.
If not for the overwhelming support from friends and family, the next few months would have been isolating and burdensome. If not for the grace of God, we would never experienced that crazy peace that anchored us through the rollercoaster that was the first few weeks and months of Andrew's life.
This morning we went to church and caught up with friends and family that we haven't seen for a year. These people travelled with us through a very difficult season and it was so wonderful to see their faces as they met Andrew for the first time.
I'm grateful to be surrounded by these people. I'm so grateful to be carried by the arms of God.
